Toyota 2007 cars

My Toyota Rav4 needs a major maintenance, I took my Toyota Rav4 to the mechanic I trust for years, he is specialized in Japanese cars, fixed one complex problem in my old Honda, not even dealer could fix. he told me not just my Rav4 had problem which was fixed, a lot of his customers with Toyota Camry, Collora, Rav4 in 2007 also have problems with their cars, and were repaired at his shop. I told him the reason I got this Toyota was they advertized gas mileage 30 miles per gallon, but in 2008 or 2009 Toyota changed it to 28 miles per gallon, otherwise I would have gotton Honda CRV. I have lost trust in Toyota, it is time to take a new look at American cars when I get my next car.
